about us

_DSC8729David was born in the Dallas suburb of Arlington, Texas. His family moved around before settling in rural Missouri. He started shooting shotguns in his backyard at the age of 13. Trap was the only target sport in the area, so David spent hours shooting clays thrown off manual traps. His first shotgun was a Winchester model 101 field grade that his father gave him at 14. David became a good field wingshot and till today he guides pheasant hunts.

David began to shoot sporting clays regularly in 2000. By the end of 2006, he had punched into Master class. His primary instructional sources along the way were tips from good shooters, articles in Sporting Clays Magazine and other shooting publications. He took the NSCA’s Level I Instructor’s Course to better his own shooting performance as well as to promote the sport by mentoring and coaching new shooters.

As fate would have it, David was giving sporting lessons to CZ-USA President Alice Poluchova back in 2007. She was impressed by David’s skills and has signed him up as a Pro Shooter for CZ-USA’s line of shotguns.  David currently shoots CZ Sporting O/U with 32” bbls
